On July 25th our new president for 2026, Hilary, welcomed lots of our club members to the green for a day of bowling, eating, and socialising.
Graham set us up with difficult bowling challenges to start with and then we had a scramble of several rounds of doubles. Despite the early rain, the weather held and we had a great day.
The Rose Bowl trophy was won by Jackie Pye with a score of over 40 points, closely followed by Ian Proctor (last year’s winner). The booby prize was won by Cath Hill in great style.
The buffet was a strong showing, with plenty of pork pies and home-made bread, and a great trifle.
