A Wonderful Evening of Celebration
After our AGM we had a fantastic evening presenting this year’s awards and celebrating our season of bowls. The event was presented by Jon Hill and the awards were handed out by our club President, Geore Tutin. The bar was open and everyone brought some food to share.

League Highlights
Ladies League - Division 1
Our Ladies team finished a commendable 6th place in Division 1, with some strong team performances keeping them in the top division. The club merit winner was Janet Boardman with an impressive 7 wins from 12 matches.

Lancaster League
Luneside A competed in Division 1 for the first time in the modern era. Despite a strong team spirit, it proved a challenging season. The club merit winner was Graham Brandwood with 13 wins from 18 matches.
Luneside B in Division 3 had a disrupted season but finished 6th, with Janet Boardman taking the club merit award.

Morecambe League - Division 4
A much improved season saw Luneside finish 3rd, narrowly missing out on promotion. Graham Brandwood was outstanding, winning both the Club merit and the Divisional Merit Prize with 18 wins from 22 matches!

Veterans League
Luneside A (Division 2) competed well with Jan and Mike Aspinall retaining the Club merit shield, and Mark Norcliffe performing strongly in singles.
Luneside B had a season to remember, finishing 2nd in Division 3 and gaining promotion! Jackie Pye was the best divisional doubles player, while Richard Royds retained the club merit award.

Veterans Challenge Cup Winners!
The highlight of the Veterans season was winning the Veterans Challenge Cup, defeating joint Division 1 winners Trimpell in the semi-final and Hornby A in the final. Congratulations to the whole squad: Hilary, Anne, Jackie, Alan M, Peter, Ian, Nick, Richard, Chris, Ken and Graham.

Floodlit League - Division 3
The team finished 3rd with Graham Brandwood taking the club merit with 9 wins from 10 matches.

External League Awards
Graham Brandwood had an exceptional season, bringing home two prestigious external awards:
- MBL President’s Day Cup - Retained from 2024, winning £120 for the club
- MBL Division 4 Merit - Winner, with £25 prize for the club
